Professor Andrew Beggs joins Check4Cancer’s Medical Advisory Board

Check4Cancer is delighted to announce that Professor Andrew Beggs has recently joined Check4Cancer’s Medical Advisory Board. Professor Beggs, who is currently Professor of Cancer Genetics and Surgery at the University of Birmingham and University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, will advise Check4Cancer on their cancer genetic testing service as well as their early bowel cancer detection services.  

Professor Gordon Wishart, CEO, and CMO at Check4Cancer comments; “I am delighted that Professor Beggs has accepted our invitation to join Check4Cancer’s Medical Advisory Board. Professor Beggs runs a research group of scientists and clinicians studying the molecular determinants of response to cancer treatment and, as an active cancer clinician, he runs a familial cancer clinic for the West Midlands Region”. Professor Wishart further comments; ''as a scientific adviser to the UK Department of Health and Social Care and Genomics England, Professor Beggs brings a wealth of research and clinical expertise in cancer genetics that will support and develop our range of cancer services.
