PREDICT model wins research excellence award

The PREDICT breast cancer survival and treatment prediction model won the People's Choice Award at the Office for National Statistics (ONS) Research Excellence Awards on 22 November 2018.

The PREDICT model was developed in 2010 by a team of clinicians and scientists from Cambridge led by Check4Cancer’s Chief Medical Officer and consultant breast surgeon, Professor Gordon Wishart.

The ONS Research Awards specifically commended the PREDICT model for its public benefit, as well as its national and international impact.

The PREDICT model is freely available at and has helped almost 1,000,000 clinicians and patients world-wide to decide whether chemotherapy is required as part of the treatment plan for individual patients.
