"Third time lucky?!! Check4Cancer finalist in Health Investor Award for Diagnostics Provider of the Year"

It was third time lucky for Check4Cancer at the Health Investor Awards in June being praised by the judges for its “high quality patient-centred, medically led service with clear targets for an effective one-stop approach diagnostic pathway” and its “level of clinical audit underpinning the outcomes”. 

Accepting the award, Prof Gordon Wishart, Chief Medical Officer for Check4Cancer, commented “We are thrilled to have been recognised for our commitment to patient focused, reliable early cancer detection. Our best practice diagnostic pathways for breast & skin cancer have given patients rapid access to an accurate and reliable diagnosis, reducing average times to diagnosis and improving patients’ experience. “CHECK4CANCER FINALISTS IN THREE CATEGORIES AT LAING BUISSON HEALTHCARE AWARDS FOR EXCELLENCE 2017”

Check4Cancer is delighted to have been shortlisted as finalist in three separate categories of the Laing Buisson healthcare awards for excellence 2017.

Rising Star -  Professor Gordon Wishart, as Chief Medical Officer of Check4Cancer, has led the company to becoming an innovative private provider of early cancer detection services with cancer as its sole-focus and in doing so has created the perfect vehicle to make a major impact on early cancer detection in the UK.

Healthcare outcomes -  Check4Cancer's tangible successes include the introduction of breast cancer and skin cancer self-referral diagnostic pathways ensuring fast and accurate diagnosis.

Innovation in technology -  Check4Cancer's Cancer Impact Calculator, a custom-built model, helps employers to measure the impact of company-paid cancer screening for employees.

“CHECK4CANCER & CIGNA FINALISTS FOR SECOND YEAR IN 'BEST DIAGNOSTICS PROVIDER' CATEGORY AT HEALTH INVESTOR AWARDS”

We are proud to announce that for the second year running Check4Cancer and Cigna UK have been shortlisted for ‘Diagnostics care provider of the year’.

Check4Cancer and Cigna have been working together for the past 14 months to tackle early detection of breast cancer and skin cancer.

Cigna teamed up with BreastHealth UK, in January 2016 to provide OneStop breast cancer diagnostics and with SkinHealth UK in June 2016 to offer customers rapid access to skin cancer specialists across the UK.

BreastHealth UK and SkinHealth UK are part of Check4Cancer Ltd.

“CHECK4CANCER AND BNY MELLON RUNNERS-UP AT EMPLOYEE BENEFITS AWARDS 2016”

Check4Cancer and BNY Mellon received recognition at the Employee Benefits Awards 2016, achieving runner up position for ‘Best healthcare and wellbeing benefits – large employer’.

The judges were looking for an employer that has successfully ­implemented a benefits strategy to support employee health and wellbeing and improve productivity and staff engagement by doing so. The category required employers with more than 1,000 staff. The full article available here.

Check4Cancer is proud to be the associated with the 2013 winner of the best Healthcare and Wellness Benefits Hewlett Packard as the designer, planner and executer of the hugely popular and award winning programmes for early detection of cancer at Hewlett Packard.

The judges said “The approach Hewlett-Packard took, in terms of the combination of screening and education, was impactful and gave a legacy to what it is doing. It was very different from the other entries - it fundamentally made a difference to employees’ lives.”

Hewlett Packard - for whom Check4Cancer ran four cancer screening and awareness programmes - was chosen out of 13 entries as Highly Commended for its entry in the Bupa Workwell Engagement and Wellbeing Award.

Chair of the judges, Patrick Watt of Bupa: “Using a broad-based wellness programme as a springboard, HP focused on one particular area that has made a fundamental difference to their employees and their partners.”
