Most common symptoms

Prostate Cancer

  • Age 40-49 = PSA higher than 2.5ng/ml
  • Age 50-69= PSA higher than 3ng/ml
  • Age 70-80 = PSA higher than 5ng/ml

Breast Cancer

  • Breast lump or pain
  • Nipple discharge or inversion
  • A change in breast shape

Skin Cancer

  • A mole that has changed size or shape
  • A mole that is bleeding or weeping
  • A lesion that is not healing
  • A mole with irregular, blurred or jagged edges

Bowel Cancer

  • Blood in your stools (poo) or bleeding from your bottom
  • A recent change in bowel habits lasting longer than six weeks
  • Unexplained weight loss
  • A constant pain or lump in your tummy

Lung Cancer

  • A persistent cough - (with or without blood/pain)
  • Breathlessness or shortness of breath
  • Persistent chest infections that don’t respond to medical treatment
  • Pain when breathing or coughing

Cervical Cancer

  • Abnormal vaginal bleeding
  • Smelly or unusual vaginal discharge
  • Pain or discomfort during sex
  • Persistent pelvic or lower back pain
