Karen's cancer diagnosis

What drew me to Check4Cancer was the offer of an assessment of every mole on my body. I've always had a lot of moles, and have developed more in the past few years, so that was playing on my mind. As a fair-skinned redhead, I've always been aware that I could be at greater risk of skin cancer, even though I've never been someone who spends lots of time sunbathing.

I received an appointment date quite quickly and for a clinic in Cambridge, which is only about an hour from me. It was such a thorough and careful process. Every mole on my body was examined, and two were identified as needing further investigation. They weren't moles that had concerned me, and I wouldn't have thought to have them checked otherwise.

Looking back now, I feel hugely fortunate. If it hadn't been for this screening, I don't know if I'd have discovered I had skin cancer. I really cannot thank Check4Cancer enough. If I hadn't received that screening invitation, I would never have known. I really cannot thank Check4Cancer enough.
